   The board doesn’t work because “aw” for lawn is in the middle of the letters for “compass” with the “l” and “n” on top. The two middle columns look like this:
   na
   ls
   sp
   aw
   mc
   oa
   How do I get to “p” with that “aw” in the way? no other words have “w “except “sword” but that is in the lower left corner.
